Here is a look at our creative process that we use as a guideline for a successful campaign.
Ambition
You need to reach your audience. There is a missing link between you and your customers. Therefore, you need a creative team like Captivate to design and deliver a product that does the following:

- Evoke Action
Of all the features listed, Evoke Action is the most important. This is when your customers have seen/heard what they need and ultimately decide to contact you.
Approach
Formally known as Pre-production but it’s much more than that. This is the most critical step in the entire process. It’s not a Plan of Action rather a Plan to Action!
We spend time with you listening to your ideas, learning your brand, and observing the competition. We move from concept, to script, to storyboard and we take your input and feedback as we go.
We work best with “Story Led Content” as our writing team has 15 years’ experience and know how to develop an idea that translates from script to screen.
Once you’re satisfied with the concept, you’ve reviewed our shot lists we then take care of the following:
- Casting
- Location Scouting
- Props & Wardrobe
- Permits
- Scheduling
Action
(Lights and Camera come before Action!)
This step is when we commit the concept developed during The Approach to the digital film medium. It’s the most fun and exciting part of the entire process!
We have our script/shot list established, cast & crew call sheets delivered, locations ready, cameras prepped, batteries charged, and lenses cleaned. We work with state-of-the-art cameras, high end-lenses, modern lighting, and professional sound recording tools to deliver the best product possible.
However, there is much more to production than just having professional gear. You will also have the Director (Adam) on set working with the cast & crew to pioneer the project shot-to-shot and day-to-day. Adam has more 15+ years working on set with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. He will work closely with the talented crew to guide this production to completion.
Assemble
Every shot we capture during the Action step is backed up (and backed up again). We use enterprise-level backup solutions to ensure all footage is redundant in both physical and cloud-based locations. Editing begins immediately as we build the Rough Cut. After we review with you, we maintain open communication and work with your feedback to make any adjustments. The next step takes time as we move from to the Fine Cut. This cut is the step in which the product is polished through colour grading, voice-over, sound design, graphics, animations all leading to a broadcast ready final product.
Actuate
The product has been completed; you have your content ready but now you need to get it in front of your audience. Through communication, we plan a strategy for release which will motivate your customers to contact you. Part of this plan is created in the Approach.
Additionally, we provide archival options and can provide your content in virtually any format. Every project we work on we maintain a modular build so you can re-visit the project and add or remove features based on your needs.
